Performing Medicine works with the NHS and with Higher Education partners to develop and deliver arts-based training programmes to frontline healthcare practitioners.
We are currently working on a research and development partnership with the Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas Trust, funded by the Guys and St Thomas’ Charity. The project will run between 2014-2017 and will create unique arts-based training programmes designed to enhance care and compassion in healthcare in a range of clinical settings across King’s Health Partners.
Working in partnership with Health Education’s Local Education and Training Board for North, Central and East London, Performing Medicine has also developed a tailored training programme for Healthcare Assistants. Through a research and consultation period, we designed a course that met their specific needs. The course was delivered over six months in 2014. In this short film, participants talk about their experience of the programme.
