Performing Medicine will be giving the plenary presentation at the second Aesop Arts in Health Conference and Showcase.
Building on the success of their first national Arts in Health Conference & Showcase in 2016, the event is back in 2018 in partnership with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the College of Medicine. An event for health decision makers; the focus of the conference is on how the arts can contribute to current health priorities.
Confirmed speakers include: Dame Darcey Bussell DBE, Professor Gillian Leng (NICE Deputy Chief Executive & Director of Health and Social Care), Professor Tim Kendall (NHS England National Clinical Director for Mental Health), Dr Martin Vernon (NHS England National Clinical Director for Older People), Noel Gordon (Chair at NHS Digital, NHS England Non-Executive Director & Board member) and Patsy Rodenburg OBE.
As well as the showcase, the day will include strategy inspiration from health and arts leaders and the announcement of Aesop initiatives to help bring the arts into the health mainstream.
The day will be facilitated by Vivienne Parry OBE, science writer and broadcaster.
Performing Medicine will be one of twenty-four Arts in Health programmes that will be showcased.
