Performing Medicine’s Year-Long Professional Development Programme

For people working at the intersection of arts and health

Led by Suzy Willson, Performing Medicine’s Director, and Carly Annable-Coop, Lead Artist and Programme Manager, this unique course will allow participants to explore the skills, methodologies and research that underpin Performing Medicine’s arts-based approaches within healthcare contexts. The course will also feature other distinguished artists, sector leaders and commissioners.

Year-long Part Time Course

An opportunity for deep and focused learning

• Held at Clod Ensemble’s stunning Skylight Studio in North Greenwich, London
• Delivered across 20 days between January and December 2024
• Scheduled across 6 x 2 day blocks and 2 x 4 day blocks
• Available to a small and diverse group
• Allowing focus on an independent project and presentation of project
• Inclusive of 2 x 45 minute individual feedback sessions
• Suitable for healthcare professionals, medical educationalists and artists
• Additional mentoring available upon request outside course dates (terms and conditions will apply)
• Offered following mandatory completion of Performing Medicine’s two-day taster course in September or November 2023

Two Day Introductory Course

In this standalone 2-day introduction, Performing Medicine will provide a taste of a few of the themes and approaches for further exploration in the year-long course, and offer you a chance to consider your own practice and how you want to develop this through the year-long course.

November 2023:

Wednesday, 22 November – 10am to 5pm
Thursday, 23 November – 10am to 4pm; 4pm to 5pm (Q & A about year long course)

Course Fees

Mandatory 2 day introductory course (autumn or winter 2023) – £225

Year-long course (payable in three termly instalments) – £2,500

Combined booking of introductory course and year-long programme – £2,725
