Schedule:
14:00 – 15:30: Creative activities
15:30 – 16:00: Circle of Care
16:00 – 17:00: Creative activities
Activities will include:
- CIRCLE OF CARE with Performing Medicine – In this session Performing Medicine will introduce you to our Circle of Care framework to help you consider how you deliver compassionate care and look after yourself and others. Through a series of practical exercises we will look at how healthcare professionals can use their bodies to prepare, energise, refresh and wind down for a day at work.
- FLORILEGIUM with Amy Shelton – Join Amy to take a pause and find a gentle and joyful way to connect with the healing power of plants as the spring flowers emerge. Amy will provide a rich palette of pressed flower samples and all the materials needed to create a beautiful mounted botanical card using time-honoured herbarium techniques, a gentle and joyful way to connect to the natural environment.
- SOME HANDS TO HOLD YOU with Sheila Ghelani – Consider the spaces you hold for reflection and rest. Make a locket-style memento from a small ampoule which you can gift to someone special, or keep and care for yourself. Sheila will ask you about your relationship to time in a moment of reflection, providing a space to take a well deserved break.
- MONUMENTS TO THE HEALTH CENTRE with Tim Spooner – create a sculpture, making a miniature monument to the your working environment. In this activity you will look deeper at the objects and materials that make up the world around us, and consider your interactions with your working environment. We’ll carefully select small found objects, explore and rearrange them into new formations to make tiny sculptures.
