BBC Radio 4’s Inside Health programme, ran an episode which focused on communication and explored how Covid-19 has changed how doctors and nurses communicate with patients.
It is a fascinating programme which includes an in-depth interview with Performing Medicine’s Professor Suzy Willson. Suzy provides insight into the challenges of wearing PPE that healthcare professionals are currently facing and how top tips from those working in the arts sector has helped improve communication. Suzy also shares her advice for wearing PPE such as the importance of animating your face even when wearing a mask, and how face exercises can help.
