Supporting healthcare professionals through challenging times
Hospital Caterer, the official journal of the Hospital Caterers Association, has showcased one of Performing Medicine’s programmes as an example of best practice in an article titled ‘Helping your mental health.’
Published in the February 2022 edition, the article looks at ways hospitals and medical colleagues are helping improve mental health and wellbeing.
It shares results of recent surveys which reveal a 300 per cent increase in NHS staff suffering from the highest levels of stress, anxiety and depression during the first wave of Covid-19, compared to before the pandemic.
The article acknowledges examples of online support and resources, and takes a deeper look into our pilot programme with Swansea Bay University Health Board, sharing how arts-based interventions of this type have impacted the workforce
