The MJ, an online management journal for local authorities, invited Performing Medicine’s Amy Mallett to write an article on the importance of cross-sector working, and how it is key to social prescribing across communities.
Amy speaks about how we’ve turned to the creative arts more during the pandemic and the growing social prescribing movement. Spearheaded by Performing Medicine’s experience in leading workforce development programmes in social prescribing, Amy explains the need for cross-sector working to ensure an integrated approach to prescribing arts and culture.
Amy touches on the steps that local authorities can take to establish rich-interprofessional communities who understand each other’s contexts, how to communicate effectively with each other, and the people who are being referred to them.
