Circle of Care for Clinical Educators

How to use the Circle of Care framework in education settings.

This two-day course introduces the Circle of Care framework and explores ways of developing the skills it identifies in education and training settings. Participants will be introduced to the research underpinning the framework, practice how to describe the Circle of Care effectively and learn one teaching exercise for each of the nine skills identified on the Skills Compass. Having completed this course participants will be able to use Circle of Care confidently in training and education settings, and will be eligible to attend further training days focused on specific Circle of Care skills.

Objectives

• To explore ways to use the Circle of Care framework in your education and training setting
• To practice simple exercises to explore each of the 9 skills on the ‘skills compass’, which can be used in teaching teaching
• To connect with other healthcare educators

Target Audience

• Any Medical / Nursing / AHP / Clerical Staff who have teaching responsibilities
