Free training opportunity for independent artists and arts organisations in Brent

Funded by Arts Council England and supported by Brent council, Performing Medicine offers a unique two part training day and networking event for artists interested in working at the intersection of arts and health.

PART 1:

Join Performing Medicine for the training day on Wednesday 22nd of February, 10:30-16:30 for a unique training day to explore:

  • The opportunities social prescribing could create for your projects
  • Current offers and case studies from the arts and health sector
  • How to market your work to social prescribers and healthcare professionals
  • Strategies for self-care in your practice

£40 bursary paid to freelance artists + Lunch included

PART 2:

On Thursday 23rd of February, 16:00-18:00 we will be hosting a unique evening networking event providing an opportunity to connect with social prescribers, link workers and healthcare professionals. The evening will involve:

  • A Q&A panel with invited guests of link workers, social prescribers and healthcare professionals
  • A discussion on ways the cross-sector collaborative workforce wishes to move forward in Brent
  • Sharing and learning about ongoing projects and useful connections for future collaborative work
