Free training opportunity for independent artists and arts organisations in Hackney

 

Supported by Hackney Council, this day of training supports artists and arts organisations in Hackney to build an understanding of how arts and culture can play a key role in community, healthcare, and in tackling inequalities.

Join Performing Medicine on Wednesday 30th November, 10:00-16:00 for a unique training day to explore:

  • The landscape of social prescribing
  • The opportunities social prescribing could create for your projects
  • The role of cultural social prescribing in addressing health needs and inequalities in our communities
  • Referral processes and social prescribing mechanisms within Hackney
  • Current offers and case studies from the arts and health sector
  • How to market your work to social prescribers and healthcare professionals
  • Strategies for self-care in your practice

The content of this course has been informed by a pilot held in Southwark and Merton in Feb 2021.
