Performing Medicine has been developed through and is underpinned by research. This has included pilot studies, independent impact evaluations, practice-based research and literature reviews.
Our work has received the Times Higher Excellence and Innovation Award, has been published in the Lancet, Medical Education and BMJ Medical Humanities, and is cited as an example of best practice in the 2017 report from the All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing.
“Performing Medicine is such an eye-opener. I’d say to any doctor who has the chance – do it. The workshops we do in voice, posture, communication, they all open your mind and allow you to explore different ideas in medicine. It’s beneficial on a personal and professional level.”
“Performing Medicine offers vital opportunities to provide much needed support and the opportunity for growth and reflection to those who face these challenges every working day.”
